Bradford Seminar: “Indigenous Environmental Justice, Knowledge and Law”

Deborah McGregor, associate professor and Canada Research Chair in Indigenous Environmental Justice at York University, will present “Indigenous Environmental Justice, Knowledge and Law” via Zoom webinar. Register online in advance to receive a webinar link.

McGregor has been at the forefront of Indigenous environmental justice and Indigenous research theory and practice. Her research focuses on Indigenous knowledge systems and their various applications in diverse contexts, including environmental and water governance, environmental justice, health and environment, climate change and Indigenous legal traditions. She remains actively involved in a variety of Indigenous communities, serving as an adviser and continuing to engage in community-based research and initiatives.

This event is part of the David Bradford Energy and Environmental Policy Seminar Series organized by the Center for Policy Research on Energy and the Environment (C-PREE) in the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs and co-sponsored by the High Meadows Environmental Institute (HMEI). McGregor’s talk is co-sponsored by Princeton’s Office of Sustainability, Canadian Studies program, Natives at Princeton, and Native American and Indigenous Studies Initiative.
