Bradford Seminar: “Applications of Big Data on Residential Properties”

Yueming (Lucy) Qiu, an associate professor in the School of Public Policy at the University of Maryland, College Park, will present “Applications of Big Data on Residential Properties to Provide Decision Support for Decarbonization Policies” via Zoom webinar. Register online in advance to receive a webinar link.

Qiu focuses her research on using big data with quasi-experimental and experimental methods to answer empirical questions related to the interactions among consumer behaviours, energy technologies and incentives. She will discuss three studies from her lab that used big data on more than 150 million residential properties in the United States to provide decision support for decarbonization policies, particularly related to government incentive programs.

This event is part of the David Bradford Energy and Environmental Policy Seminar Series organized by the Center for Policy Research on Energy and the Environment (C-PREE) in the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs and co-sponsored by the High Meadows Environmental Institute (HMEI).
